Roy Stein is a highly respected and well-known contemporary musician from upstate New York. His recording career began as the drummer for New Math, a punk/alternative band signed to CBS/415 Records. During that time, New Math shared the stage with iconic bands like The Pretenders, B-52’s, Ramones, and The Psychedelic Furs.

Roy also served as the drummer and songwriter for the Jet Black Berries, a band that gained recognition for contributing to the Return of the Living Dead soundtrack alongside The Cramps, The Damned, and Roky Erickson. In addition, he was a founding member and drummer for the internationally acclaimed Atomic Swindlers, a popular rock band praised by Rolling Stone, Village Voice, Paste, and numerous online publications.

Roy's talents extended to My Plastic Sun, a band whose song "Couldn’t Love You More" became the most-played track on Sirius/XM’s flagship station, The Coffee House, in 2014. More recently, he has been a member of Lips Turn Blue, releasing a hard rock album in 2022 on the German label M.I.G.
